Thank you to our distinguished guests, honorees and sponsors for making the Public Law Center’s 2014 Volunteers for Justice Dinner a historic event. The 2014 Volunteers for Justice Dinner broke new records in attendance and monies raised. Within the largest-ever crowd of more than 950 guests were a record 57 sitting and retired judges – including keynote speaker Associate Justice Carol A. Corrigan of the California Supreme Court.
This year, PLC’s supporters donated $715,000, which is a critical component of PLC’s ability to deliver eight dollars’ worth of legal services for every one dollar donated. In 2013, PLC’s staff and volunteers leveraged your support to provide $18.5 million in legal services to more than 6,000 Orange County residents.
With the help of the evening’s delightful emcee, Rose Parade co-host and television icon, Stephanie Edwards, we also recognized the extraordinary achievements and exceptional work of PLC’s partners:
In addition, Volunteers for Justice Dinner guests saw the premiere of three new videos sharing the stories of Orange County residents whose lives have been changed for the better through the efforts of PLC and our volunteer attorneys. These videos and many other heart-warming stories, are available on the PLC YouTube channel.
We can’t wait to see you at the 2015 Volunteers for Justice Dinner, but until then, we look forward to our continued partnership to ensure access to justice for our Orange County neighbors.
