Generosity of Orange County Trial Lawyers Association to Aid Veterans

The Orange County Trial Lawyers Association (OCTLA) has provided major financial support to help PLC serve local veterans in need.

Each year, OCTLA, the leading plaintiffs’ oriented bar group in Orange County, chooses a nonprofit organization to be the recipient of funds raised at its annual Top Gun Gala awards event.

In 2013, OCTLA chose PLC’s Operation Veterans Re-Entry as the recipient. The gala was held Montage Laguna Beach on Nov. 23, and raised more than $62,000 to support PLC’s work.

“I’d like to extend a special thanks to OCTLA’s then President Scott Cooper, OCTLA Executive Director Janet Thornton and former OCTLA President turned auctioneer for the night Keith More,’’ PLC Executive Director Ken Babcock said. “OCTLA’s support allows us to expand the program and help even more veterans and their families. We are extremely grateful.”
